As I enter my final year of undergraduate study, I am deeply grateful for the support the Ghidotti Scholarship has provided thus far. Your generosity has played a vital role in enabling me to focus on my academic and personal growth without being burdened by financial stress… Thank you for your time, consideration, and the opportunities you have made possible for students like me.

I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude for the absolute privilege and honor it is to be chosen for this year’s award. [When]… the scholarship was announced..my family and I all shed tears at the immense blessing and financial relief it provides.  Receiving this award will forever be ingrained as one of my most memorable moments. This scholarship ensures my enrollment at….. where I will be attending… this upcoming fall. Again, words cannot express my utmost gratitude and appreciation.

I would like to extend my sincerest gratitude to you and the foundation for making my dream of attending this college come true. I do not take the opportunity to focus on my studies for granted and I am very thankful for the support I received to enable me to do so.

Ever since I was a kid I had dreamed of playing college football and receiving my degree. When I became a senior in high school I had the opportunity to come play football for UC Davis. The only problem was my family and I didn’t have the finances to take on massive loans. Without the Ghidotti Foundation, there is a chance that my finances held me back from pursuing my dreams. I couldn’t be more thankful for their generosity and support throughout college. I plan to complete my degree in Managerial Economics/Technology Management, and go into transformational leadership within professional sports organizations (NBA, NFL, MLB). Hopefully throughout my career as well as my life, I can pass on the kindness that the foundation has shown me and help others pursue their dreams.

It is with immense gratitude that I express my thankfulness for the Ghidotti Scholarship. Your generosity will be utilized to its full extent while I pursue my dreams at UC Davis. I will be studying computer sciences focusing on machine learning. At the time of this writing, I am currently a Software Engineering Intern at Flickr, and I am hoping to continue my employment there after graduation. I would not be able to achieve such a wonderful opportunity if not for this scholarship relieving the financial barrier of higher education. Your support of education and enriching the high school population with access to further education is inspiring and I hope, I too, can one day give back.
